Good day, Sannie!
I'm very glad that I contacted you on the social network and that you agreed with the questions for our music website. And thank you very much for that.
May I ask how you actually found yourself from Denmark in Italy, where you live now?
I travelled to Italy in 1991 to try to find work as a fashion designer.
How do you remember your first musical beginnings in the field of Eurodance?
In 1993 I began touring in smaller clubs in Spain when Saturday Night reached number 1 in 14 weeks. It was a great time to be alive. There was so much positivity in the air.
Can you tell us who inspired you musically when you were growing up?
I grew up listening to my parents music which was Boney M and ABBA. I always loved music with lots of melodies.
Which of the music artists in the field of the Eurodance pop scene do you meet the most at events and who do you understand the best of them?
As Ive been doing lots of 90’s festivals I always bump into the likes of Dr Alban, Haddaway, Snap, Vengaboys and so on….
And now back to your latest single. Why the name SUGA?
It’s a way to call a guy with sweetness.
How did the single SUGA actually come about?
I was working in London with my 2 producers, Gigi Canu and Sonny Reeves. One day we were just jamming and having fun and then Suga was born.
You have a lot of nice clothes for the show - latex overalls. And I have to admit that I saw you performing in Prague and event Nuremberg, and it suited you very well.
Can you tell us how you keep up in such great shape?
I eat very healthy and workout every single day.
What food and food do you prefer on your travels and performances?
I try to eat lots of fish and vegetables. And dark chocolate :)
May I ask how the current ban on acting has affected you? (Covid-19)
In the beginning it was very strange that I couldn’t see my friends but I just started planning on what to to at my house.
And how do you spend your free time that you would normally spend on shows and concerts?
I love to cook. Watch Netflix and FaceTiming my friends. Promote my music and connect with fans on social media.
What are your goals / plans for the future?
Hopefully begin touring asap. Produce new tracks and just stay happy.
And at the end of our conversation, you can say something to the fans?
Keep safe and take good care of each other. Enjoy life, it’s really short…..
